The Dublin and its Variants

Dublin, Woodstock & Cutty

photo

The Dublin has a slightly tapered bowl. wider at the top than at the bottom, with a slight forward cant. The Woodstock, sometimes called a Zulu, has a Dublin bowl, is often canted forward more, and sports a 1/8 bent stem. The Cutty is always reminiscent of the clay pipes of yore, and sometimes even includes the "spur" at the bottom of the bowl.

Pictured are a GBD Pedigree Dublin, a very old BBB Woodstock, and a Tom Eltang Cutty.
